Kitchen & Venting

Kitchen external fan

  • Confirm the range hood vents to the exterior, not just recirculating.
  • Locate the duct path (wall or ceiling) and exterior vent cap.
  • Turn fan on and feel airflow at the outside vent.
  • Check for grease buildup, damaged flaps, or noisy fan motor.

If it’s recirculating only, note cost/complexity to convert to exterior venting.

Keep a short pros/cons line for each house you tour in this district.
